Founding Story
Founded in 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic, many were struggling with isolation, depression, and an unprecedented health crisis. I began organizing in my community and delivering gift bags containing food, personal hygiene products, and clothing to those in need. We started supporting foster youth and those aging out of the system. We created seasonal projects to honor local seniors and prepared and delivered baskets. We wanted to ensure that no one in our community felt forgotten during a time of fear and isolation, and to remind them that they were cherished
Biography
Shary is the founder of Lavender Bows Inc., a community‑driven nonprofit organization. After suffering tremendous loss in her life, she was inspired to give back to underserved individuals by opening her home and her heart to those in need. She is devoted to serving her community with generosity, respect, and unwavering humanity, meeting their needs with dignity and a sense of pride.
